Abstract :

Koi fish (Cyprinus carpio L.) is a kind of ornamental fresh water fish that is cared more by farmers both seeding and growing in the pond. It is a favorite and ornamental fish and liked more by a wide society as the beautiful form and color and the selling price is relatively high. The aim of this case study was to get knowledge, experience & work kill, & also supporting & inhibitor factor that emerged in culture of carp hatchery. Work method that used in this case study was descriptive by data collection technique consisted primary & secondary data. Data collection was conducted by active participation, observation, interview & literature study. The business kind of seeding the koi fish in the technique of brood stock koi management is a private owner, but it is managed by a group of farmer business of (Sumber Harapan). The seed quality influenced by brood stock the handling technique of koi must be cared; it consists of brood stock selection, feed of management and water quality. There are hindrances faced in managing the brood stock of koi related to the capital and plant diseases, the possibility of developing the business by looking the koi market prospect that is clear enough and improving the demands for the koi fish.
